This ALP Exchange session is an open, peer-driven conversation designed to surface questions, challenges, and best practices that don't always make it onto an Affinity Group meeting agenda—but impact nearly every leadership program.

Together, we'll explore marketing and how programs are attracting, engaging, and retaining participants and community support, including:

  • Reaching the right audiences and building awareness in your region
  • Messaging, branding, and telling your program's story effectively
  • Digital tools, social media, and low-cost strategies that are working
  • Engaging alumni, employers, and community partners as advocates
  • What's resonating and what's falling flat

This is a collaborative space to share what's working, ask honest questions, and learn from fellow ALP members navigating similar decisions.
Come ready to contribute, listen, and leave with ideas you can apply immediately to your program.

A Pacesetter Membership is a select level of membership specially designed for ALP members who are the most progressive...those who serve as the models and exemplars of the industry. A Pacesetter is someone who thinks two steps ahead, not where we are today but where we should be in the future.

Pacesetters gather virtually every month to level up their conversations and challenge their colleagues from across the nation. For more information, click here.

A key ALP member benefit is connecting virtually with other members via Affinity Groups on a specific topic of interest.

An ALP member/champion facilitates these ongoing, intact groups. Members of the group share and gain ideas, insights, best practices, inspiration, and more.

The zoom link for each affinity group is only shared with members who have opted-in to specific groups. To sign up for an affinity group, click here

Most teams spend time on icebreakers that are enjoyable in the moment but quickly forgotten. The problem isn’t team building—it’s team building without purpose. This session shows leaders how to design team‑building experiences that strengthen culture and drive real performance outcomes.

Participants will learn how to create intentional, high‑impact activities that address real team needs, including communication, trust, collaboration, confidence, resilience, self‑talk, and navigating failure. These experiences don’t require big budgets or elaborate planning. Instead, they rely on clarity, purpose, and a repeatable framework that connects activities to meaningful outcomes.

Rachel breaks down the science behind effective team building and demonstrates how simple exercises become powerful tools for growth when paired with intentional facilitation and debriefing. Attendees leave with a practical framework they can use immediately and a research‑backed debrief strategy that ensures learning transfers to real workplace behavior.

About the Speaker: Dr. Rachel Lindvall, a Senior Inclusion Business Partner at Winnebago Industries, is a recognized leader in the corporate recreation industry and an international speaker specializing in mindset, culture, leadership, and team performance. She is also known for designing and facilitating highly effective, hands-on team building experiences that strengthen communication, trust, and cohesion—creating immediate, memorable shifts in how teams work together. She speaks on a variety of topics, including confidence, motivation, grit, resilience, team buy-in, mental skills for peak performance, and team building. Grounded in science and backed by research, Rachel’s approach is both evidence-based and refreshingly fun. She believes that learning should be engaging, and she infuses her sessions with humor, energy, and real-world application—making mental tools not just accessible, but transformational.
