This ALP Exchange session is an open, peer-driven conversation designed to surface questions, challenges, and best practices that don’t always make it onto an Affinity Group meeting agenda—but impact nearly every leadership program.

Together, we’ll explore overnight retreats, including:

  • Site selection, contracts, and managing risk

  • Accessibility, inclusion, and participant safety in overnight settings

  • Balancing structure, flexibility, and meaningful programming

  • Staffing models, facilitation approaches, and on-site logistics

  • What’s working (and what you’d do differently) from recent retreats

This is a collaborative space to share what’s working, ask honest questions, and learn from fellow ALP members navigating similar decisions.

Come ready to contribute, listen, and leave with ideas you can apply immediately to your program.

  • What makes experiences truly meaningful: Design moments that connect participants to your mission and create lasting impact.
  • The secrets to inclusive spaces: Apply techniques from the arts to foster creativity, collaboration, and trust.
  • How to leverage feedback: Turn participant input into opportunities for stronger relationships and greater impact.
