Description:
In many of our communities, the differences and divisions in our society have been inescapable these last years. As we grapple with issues related to civil discourse we find ourselves asking: Are we coming apart, or is this a new beginning of coming together?

In this spirit we invite citizens across the United States to join us for a special event: Social Media, Misinformation, and Democracy: How should we think about social media and its outsized role in our democratic life?

Featured Guests:
Dr. Timothy Shaffer, Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Chair of Civil Discourse at the Biden School of Public Policy, University of Delaware and Director of Civic Engagement and Deliberative Democracy at NICD

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose

Cleveland City Council Member Stephanie Howse
